Great news!! You boys will go to any length to compete. I think it was LAST Mother’s Day that we heard about the last grandbaby’s coming. . . due on Dec. 9th! I’m impressed!
Congratulations! Everyone here in SC is excited for you. But I always thought it was like golf rules - lower the better. Leah would be like a double-bogey.
Wonderful! A little tip, Barbara, gelato without limits for the next 7 months may boost your chances. But for your sake, I’d take Steve’s view of things and go for low!
After seeing that new-born picture of Leah again, I got to wondering … did anybody bother counting placentas? I have come to the firm opinion that Leah had a fraternal twin brother, but ate him in utero. It certainly would answer many of the nagging questions that have hovered over that pregnancy and birth. Luckily the poor boy got a shot in on the way down, or we would never have known.
I want to defend myself…however, when mother sent the picture I had nightmares for about a week. I am not sure if it the mere mass of myself, the scabbed nose, or the squinty eyes, but I was a frightening looking child.
I strongly suggest that “The Eldest” holds to a 24-hour wait period before posting anything in order to give his conscience time to counteract his impulsive, creative (which I use very loosely) writing abilities. I think he is plagued with some genetic influence in this regard - and it’s not maternal.
A possible different scenario: “The Eldest,” did you write your above comment somewhere in the early morning time slot of say. . . between midnight and 3 a.m. EDT ? (and yes, I do see the comment time posted, but I’m wondering what time zone it could be adjusted to - US or European. I’m desperate to make sense of this)
I’m laughing so hard I’m crying. This dialogue is funnier than the sneezing video Matt posted, which still makes me laugh when I see someone sneeze. I like that Connie posted twice. You can almost see the smoke coming from her keyboard. Not that I disagree with the “waiting period” suggestion. You Swannies are too funny.
“Waiting period”?! Well that would be no fun, we would have never had the brilliant comment “Luckily the poor boy got a shot in on the way down, or we would never have known…Brave little feller. ” Now that is funny and it is all at Leah’s expense. What could be so wrong about that? As people bad talked the Lakers at their peeks, as people criticize the US because we have so much pwer and influence, as people mocked MacGyver when he made yet another season of shows, so teh heavyweight champ of our family should expect a little flack.
If you ever compare me to MacGyver, Lakers, or the US again, I promise you I will personally deliver the picture of you as “hulk hogan” to the 8th graders.

CONGRATS! Wish we could be here. Perfect timing for nana…BSF break, ya know.

You do know that if the baby is born on Dec. 9th, I think that automatically makes Eric the Godfather.
